Stanford in the Vale Twinning Association
Twinned with Saint-Germain-du-Corbéis, France
Founded in 1989, the Stanford Twinning Association aims to promote friendship and understanding of the French way or life through our visits to Saint-Germain-du-Corbéis, a northern French town situated on the outskirts of Alençon.
Closer to home it is a very good way to meet new friends within the village and community. Membership is also open to residents of the surrounding villages including Shellingford, Hatford and Goosey.
What we do
Group visits for members to Saint-Germain-du-Corbéis are arranged every other year, alternating with a reciprocal visit by French families to Stanford in the Vale.
We also organise other social events throughout the year for members across the village to join in with and meet and socialise with other twinning members and their families.
We arrange events such as:
- Safari Suppers
- Quiz Nights
- Cheese and Wine Parties
- Christmas Parties
- Bowling Evenings
- Curry Evenings
- Wine Tasting
We also take part in the Stanford in the Vale Festival and other local events.
There are organised tours for members and friends and we hope that our events will appeal to all ages amongst our members.
Family membership is available at £10.00 per annum, including all children under 18.
The cost of an individual membership is £5.00.
