Stanford-in-the-Vale Gardening Club Stanford-in-the-Vale Gardening Club. The next meeting will be Wednesday 24th March in the large hall of the Village Hall at 7.30. The speaker will be Margaret Morris on 'Sissinghurst Castle Gardens' The competition will be 'an image of a white flower' Refreshments and a raffle. Visitors very welcome for a small entry fee. Local History Society Meeting May meeting of the Stanford in the Vale and District Local History Society in the Village Hall - Small Hall.
START TIME: 7:45 p.m.
TOPIC: MICHAEL RIGGS, Member of Friends of the Ridgeway, will give a talk on "DROVING ON THE RIDGEWAY". This route was favoured by the Welsh drovers taking cattle to London. Hear about many aspects of their activity, including the way that the drovers managed the animals, and the business implications of their activities.
