Art Exhibition Stanford Art Group are having an Exhibition of colourful traditional and modern work by the group members.

The Horse and Jockey sponsored Bike Ride In support of Brace Alzheimer's Research there will be a sponsored bike ride on Saturday, 4th September around 22 miles of the back roads of the Vale of White Horse, with refreshmants on route.(Fancy dress is optional).
This will start at 11.00am from the Horse and Jockey. In the evening there will be a buffet supper from 7.00pm @£7.00 per head, which needs to be pre paid.
Live music follows with Phil Baker and Stevie Sax.

Cake Competition To be held at the Horse and Jockey.
* A home-made cake competition - chocolate, carrot, Victoria sponge, whatever takes your fancy. This is also open to children wishing to enter their own cake(s).
* £1 entry fee per cake.
* Cakes to be delivered between 3-3.30pm in the restaurant (don't forget to complete your entry form before you leave your cake!).
* There are some vacancies on the judging panel – for a fee!
* Auction of the cakes to take place after the prizes have been awarded.
* All proceeds to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
* 1st prize – 2-course meal for family of 4 at The Horse and Jockey. Other prizes to be announced.

ROSIE HARDY, of Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, will give a talk on COTTAGE GARDEN PLANTS. Also plants for sale.
COMPETITION: a vase of mixed perennials.
Visitors welcome (a small entry fee).
